1. How can I possibly guide you through pregnancy?

I’m Amanda — a certified birth doula, DONA International member since 2014, with Advanced VBAC training (VBAC Link) and Advanced Childbirth Education (GoMidwife). Since 2018, I’ve served alongside birth professionals as a local doula group member with the Professional Doulas of Charleston, supporting women through real decisions, real labors, and real faith-filled courage.

But credentials aren’t the whole story.

2. I love God and His people!

I also hold a Master’s in Biblical Counseling (the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary) and serve my local church as a servant leader in sound/tech and teaching kids' Sunday school. My work is grounded in Scripture, discernment, and a deep respect for the freedom God gives you to choose wisely. This work is about God’s glory in your freedom to choose.

3. I love God as an individual woman

On a personal note, I’m a teacher at heart, an outgoing introvert, born in the 1900s, a plant-loving, 3× mom, and someone who experiences God's creativity through good fiction stories. I love to exercise through play (bike, surf, hike, frisbee), I hide turmeric in everything, and I show up for others with warmth, clarity, and calm when things feel overwhelming.

4. What is this blog for?

This space is where I share guidance for Christians from pregnancy through postpartum — including interviews with specialists, health & wellness support, pregnancy-safe and breastfeeding-safe vitamins, and product recommendations I trust, sometimes through affiliate links.
