Pocket Doula Birth Prep is perfect for Christian women who desire to remove confusion & helplessness in them AND their Birth Partner(s), teaching you how to problem solve and birth partners to actually help in each stage of labor.

Is Birth Prep an info. dump?
No, what makes Birth Prep diff. from traditional childbirth ed. is that it is practical, usable & skills-based knowledge.
Yes, it is FULL of info, but only info pertinent to getting you safely through pregnancy, labor & pushing in a meaningful way!
Is Pocket Doula for natural birth plans only?
No. This course is like the bones of your birth "body" (key elements that make birth possible). You make it move with your particular "muscles" (preferences & needs).
*It is imperative that ALL women learn the physiologic process of labor & pushing! In addition, women must learn when an intervention helps progress your labor OR disrupts labor progress. This is because "caesarean section rates higher than 10% are not associated with reductions in maternal and newborn mortality rates" (WHO Statement on Cesarean Section Rates, June 9, 2021). Unfortunately, the U.S. has an average 1st-time cesarean section rate of 32.1% (JAMA Health Forum, July 12, 2022). My students can avoid being one of these unnecessary cesarean statistics with adequate prep!
How interactive is the Pocket Doula?
Pocket Doula Birth Prep can be as interactive as you choose!
In the GoKollab app you have access to your Pocket Doula Birth Prep Course, the CCBirth Online Community and the BONUS Pocket Doula Tips Series.
- In the CCBirth Online Community you can engage with other students at various stages of pregnancy to encourage each other.
- In Pocket Doula Tips Series I have topical videos 2-5 mins long where I answer pregnancy, labor or postpartum-related questions for you. This is not medical advice but "couch conversation tips" from your doula's 12+ years of birth work. These are added as YOU ask questions...so it will grow as the Pocket Doula grows!
What if I need more pregnancy support?
If you are feeling like a course-only Birth Prep is not enough, the Pocket Doula Signature 1:1 Service is for you! We meet on Zoom a few times during your Birth Prep course. I listen & learn you. I help you make sense of your pregnancy and use your Birth Prep to compile practical plans that are unique to you.

I serve as an active member and previous President & vice President of the Professional Doulas of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina (a local collaborative doula group)
